Pressure Drop

Pressure Drop

Do you feel that pressure?

Pressure Drop is a new project bringing together local young people aged 13-19 (up to 25 for young people with disabilities) and professional theatre makers from Immediate Theatre and Maktub Arts.

Through drama, creative writing and digital media, the project will share young people’s experiences of growing up in Hackney in 2022. Development workshops in half-term will explore ideas and issues related to the project and these ideas will be transformed into our summer youth theatre production, as well as a professional production touring to schools in the Autumn term.

EXPLORE the pressures of growing up in Hackney 2022. Share the risks, challenges, goals and aspirations in your life.

CREATE an original play and develop a social media campaign.

PERFORM on stage at the Tower Theatre in August & invite your friends and family to watch the show

Filmed & edited by Jack Matthew.

The summer holiday project is part of Discover Young Hackney 2022 - a Hackney Council initiative supporting young people to find their career in the arts, with additional support from our Patron, Idris Elba.
