Build thriving communities

We have been working with marginalised communities in Hackney and East London for 25 years to ensure access for all to arts activities that break down barriers and engage people in debate. Immediate Theatre’s vision is for a society where questioning, articulate and motivated people create and collaborate to build thriving communities.

A Stage to Perform

We work in partnership to develop work that supports our values of being:

  • Inclusive - working at the grassroots and celebrating diversity.
  • Interactive - involving communities throughout the creative process.
  • Imaginative - finding new ways to engage with vital issues.

We believe in the transformative power of theatre and the arts to all our lives and the importance of giving people a voice.

Creating a real relationship with the communities in which we work is at the heart of what we do. Our work is particularly developed with and for marginalised young people.
