Creatively supporting vulnerable young people outside school hours
We are aware of the need to support young people who are 'at risk' outside of school time. Operating on both a referral and self-referral system, evening 'drop-in' sessions aim to engage and retain 'at risk' participants on a sustained, long-term basis.
Weekly sessions are held throughout the year in educational institutions grounding the experience in a school or college setting.
We are currently delivering two sessions at Hackney Community College and BSix College
Young people create produce and perform their own productions, developed from issues that are of direct relevance to their lives encouraging them to explore and question the society in which they live.
Our programme adopts a holistic approach achieveing positive outcomes through intensive pastoral support, creative learning and working towards personal goals.
Young people have the opportunity to receive Arts Awards accreditation and other recorded outcomes while on the project.
