Working with Schools & Alternative Education Providers

We work in partnership with alternative education providers, Pupil Referral Units, Learning Support Units and Local Education Authorities to enrich and support the curriculum and increase the engagement of young people in mainstream education

How can drama help?

"The arts have an extraordinary power to deepen, broaden and transform the lives of children and young people."

Children, Young People and the Arts Strategy - Arts Council England

Our drama activities for young people in alternative education settings encourage personal, emotional and social development. Often young people who have been excluded, or are at risk of exclusion, need additional support and opportunities to achieve.

Our work is social, emotional, creative, explorative and relevant to the young people we engage.

Using creative strategies our education projects promote personal and social skills that underpin effective learning, positive behaviour, and emotional health and wellbeing.

We look to develop self awareness, emotional intelligence, motivation, empathy and social skills.

Touring to schools

We create professional touring theatre productions for schools – both primary and secondary – to encourage creative learning, enrich the curriculum and explore specific issues concerning health and wellbeing.

Theatre is a unique way to engage and inspire pupils in the classroom.

In 2009, we teamed up with Face Front Inclusive Theatre and Theatre Venture to launch the Theatre in Schools Partnership (TiSP), bringing together our resources and expertise to support the touring of high-quality, issue-based theatre to schools.

We understand that young people and schools have diverse needs and we look to develop our projects and productions accordingly.

We are always looking to develop new relationships with schools. If you think we could benefit your students, please contact us…

Sex and Relationship Education

We deliver peer to peer education workshops in schools and other youth settings exploring sex, relationships and the realities of young parenthood. Our Meet the Parents project aims to reduce teenage pregnancy rates and incidents of Sexual Transmitted Infections amongst young people using creative activities and role play to promote health and wellbeing.
