Bio

When Rueben first came into contact with Immediate Theatre he was living in emergency accommodation, trying to find a job and support his child. He took part in one of our Meet the Parents workshops at a youth club where he was volunteering and then went on to complete a 12 week training course to become a peer facilitator. Delivering drama workshops in schools and youth settings for Meet the Parents led him to apply for the position of Trainee Drama Worker for the company. Rueben is now our Young Fathers Worker for Meet the Parents and coordinates training programmes for other young fathers in Hackney and Tower Hamlets. He is currently coordinating the Free.dom Kutz project with Hackney PCT and Brooks. Rueben also contributes to our Interactions project.
