We made a very special visit to meet Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Sarah Brown at Downing Street today as runners-up in the ‘Safety and Citizenship’ category of the Health for Kids Awards 2009. Jo Carter said: "it was a really enjoyable experience and we are delighted our play 'Now You See Me; Now You Don't' has had such recognition. History

Immediate Theatre was set up by Jo Carter in 1996 in response to Hackney’s Agenda 21 consultative process. Agenda 21 brought together the council and community to develop practical ways to tackle economic, social and environmental problems and achieve sustainable development.
