The Trees Are Still Standing

We have been working with Tiger Class (Year 4) since November 2009 as part of a series of community workshops for the Big Blue Fence Project in Waltham Forest.

The Trees Are Still Standing sees pupils from George Mitchell Primary School in Leyton exploring the urban and rural landscapes of Waltham Forest - it shows their visit to Epping Forest and features poetry written in response to their trip.

All those who haven't been able to catch the film on the BBC Big Screen in Walthamstow can see it here. It will continue to be shown daily on the big screen until the end of January and we have arranged a second showing for George Mitchell Primary School pupils on Wednesday 27th January from 1.00 -1.30pm (after our last screening was affected by the snow - see the Gallery on our Big Blue Fence project page for a picture).
