Penny Cliff

Bio

Having originally trained as a musician at the Royal College of Music, Penny was a cellist for the BBC Concert Orchestra and English National Opera before becoming a playwright, director and facilitator. She has written and directed plays for Cardboard Citizens, Clean Break, Arts Depot and London Bubble. She has also directed new writing at Soho Theatre and opera for the Pimlott Foundation. As well as facilitating theatre and playwriting workshops in theatre companies, schools and colleges, she also makes audio programmes. Penny has lived in Hackney for many years and has a wealth of local knowledge.
